Scene of many school sports carnivals, this place occupies a place in most West Australians' memories.
Purpose built, along with Beatty Park Swimming pools, for the 1962 Empire Games and now at the end of the line . . .

The future is finally here and we need to accustom ourselves to new landscapes.
Medium density suburbia shall rise and cover the fresh-bared sands.
The newly imagined street names are really quite something else.
Oh The Humanity . . . Sorry about that.
Aspects of the old place remain and remind us of a time which has already gone.
