Window Cleaners Claremont

 THE NEW CLAREMONT HOTEL
Claremont town centre has been busy with construction and roadworks for so long that I have been avoiding the place for years now. Today I am walking around for the first time in a while, enjoying what the place has to offer. Here is the new extension to The Claremont Hotel:North facing, open plan, destined to be a huge addition to the areas already popular attractions.

The old post office.Bay View Terrace has changed over time from a road I used frequently for a useful right hand turn onto Stirling Highway and then onto COTTESLOE and FREMANTLE into an arrangement that more closely resembles a shopping centre car park.A stroll down Bay View Terrace across the highway reveals older apartments side by side with a newer more high density development.

Though quite cool with the breeze today, the sun this time of year is brutal.

Claremont Jetty
Remnant sedge  provides a natural protection from storm and tidal inundation.

A full circuit brings me back to the hotel where work continues in earnest even during this end of year holiday period.

Window cleaners Perth January 2018

January in the city;the Christmas rush is over and a relaxed feeling is evident once more. With the school holidays here many have chosen to leave town and the feeling is peaceful.

At my front door corellas make a meal of the conifer in the hot, bright early morning.

Ewen Street Action Group Fail 2018
Seventeen years I've been living next door to this mess.
If owners won't develop they should commit to stabilising it.
There's a monstrous beauty to it though.

Spring Window Cleaning Claremont 2017

Spring arrives and the windows need cleaning

Out and about today and it's busy season again after seemingly months of stormy and wild weather.
These windows are higher than they seem and require specialised equipment to access them. The portable pump allows me to use the PURE WATER system in an area that has no taps to source water from. The soft sand at the base makes ladder work dangerous, so that option is out though I have done this here in the past,(never again).

The pure water fed brush system allows me to wash down and clean large acreages of glass that previously took much longer using traditional squeegee methods.
De ionised water is used to clean glass and frames to a high standard and then to wash away in a curtain effect, all residual cobweb, dust and grime etc.

Window Cleaners Claremont.
I was surprised to see this property for sale in Parry Street Claremont today. I didn't think there were any original condition houses left there any more.
It reminds me of more than one rental that I lived in during the 80s.

Window Cleaners Nedlands and Claremont.

Old Hollywood Style Apartments Nedlands.
This group of four apartments in Nedlands has long been a great favourite.
They have always reminded me of old Hollywood.

Limestone foundations. This is classic West Australian Housing.
The name of the front house is Llanberis. It is the name of a town in Wales.
When were these places built? Who was responsible? What is the story behind Llanberis? A different scribe would probably address these matters, but that's not how we roll at this blog; Pictorial excellence and a steady, almost bland commentary are your tour guides as we follow the river of life's indifference on its meandering, estuarine, tidal path.
Wonderful West Australian limestone-foundation jarrah floorboard residences.
