The First Book I Ever Read. Mike Doran's Windy City Window Cleaning.

This is the first book I ever read. I recently found this old copy in a second hand place.
Seeing this old book brings back such strong memories of childhood, of early schooling and a time of pre - literacy.

It's like meeting someone you had forgotten about.

The school was St Patrick's Huddersfield. It is long since demolished. It made way for a traffic roundabout.

Check out that plane. these are very old pictures.

There is a dream - like, nostalgic quality to these images.

                            I have this certificate   .   .   .

.                            .   .    .  and this holy picture,

.   .  .  .  a damaged old photo of First Communion Day, June 8th 1969, A hot day where we marched through the streets of Huddersfield.

.  .  .  .  .  some memories of a hailstorm, of heavy winter snowfalls, of old streets long forgotten, and that's about it for St Patrick's Huddersfield.
