How To End Of Lease Window Clean

Do It Yourself End Of Lease Window Clean Single Storey
It's tempting to try and save the cost of a window clean at the end of a tenancy. You're paying out on multiple levels:removals, new bond and lease arrangements, travel, cleaning, gardening, but sometimes trying to do a job you're not familiar with can be a false economy.

If a window will open,(in an older house this won't always be the case), it needs to be opened and cleaned throughout. Be aware that almost every estate agent will check this.
Eaves and window frames need to be washed down and brushed

Fly Screens and security doors too.
All frames, security screens and glass, including frosted, needs to be washed down and finished to a professional standard.
A stiff bristled brush and soapy water is a good way to wash down frames, screens and glass in a preliminary clean, prior to hosing off.

Always apply Windex or ammonia,I prefer Windex, to the internal kitchen window above the sink before cleaning. The kitchen window is almost always the hardest to do.

Toilet windows will be inspected and the fixed screen seen here will need to be cleaned with a damp cloth. Be careful not to squirt water into the bathroom when washing down the exterior of the house.

Everything must be washed down prior to a final clean.

Any stickers you may have put on the windows need to be removed.
It needs to be remembered that if you choose to do the windows yourself the job will need to pass the most stringent of real estate examinations. Anything that the agent considers unsatisfactory will be done by the window cleaner they use and paid for out of your bond. Good luck.
