The heat wave continues in Perth this year so it's nice to get back to that same old place for some relief from the weather.

The cave, seen centre-right of photo, is an old haunt of mine.
In the early '70s I kipped in there a few times with my old mate, the late Rick Allen when we were only 10 or 11 years old. This all came to an end when my younger brother tagged along then entertained our parents with lurid tales of bikers and teenage delinquents and vandalism that were only half true.
Today it is an unsanitary hangout for kids and itinerants, so it is reassuring to see that nothing much has changed.
Trigg Island cave showing evidence of habitation, complete with Christmas cards. The full shelter provides a reasonable sleeping area in all but the stormiest of conditions.

Whether you're one of the many surfers who crowd Trigg Point on a daily basis . . . .
. . . Or one of the family groups who flock to this beach, Trigg offers a range of conditions for every skill level and expectation.
