Window Cleaners Hong Kong

Window Cleaners Hong Kong.
I visited Hong Kong with my lovely wife, Liz earlier this year and took a lot of photos with a camera I bought there.
I rather like this one.
Hong Kong is a friendly and vibrant place.
For someone from Perth the density of living has to be seen to be believed.
Clothes hang out to dry from city apartments.

The city gives way to areas of unspoiled natural beauty.

Hardly a company name to inspire confidence.

A coastal village just outside Sai Kung provides a sombre interlude.
Abandoned in the late 70s it remains in surprisingly good condition.
People here visit and picnic and respect the place. In Australia this would be vandalised and destroyed.
I wonder why I didn't take more photos of the deserted village. It is quite compelling.
I did record these poignant images of a jungle rubbish dump.

Sai Kung.
The Sai Kung live fish markets are impressive.

I am speechless.
Meanwhile back in town.

Taxis are red Toyota Crowns. They are plentiful and cheap.

This is a bar on Nathan Rd on the balcony of the 20th floor called Cocky's.

Stunning views from the balcony out to Hong Kong Island.
Inter island travel is easy and cheap on a ferry caught from Hong Kong Island.

Cheung Chau Island Hong Kong.
Everywhere you go there's some kind of a marketplace. Well known West Australian identity Ray Brown checks out the wares.
And here's yours truly at the doors of a holy place.
We walked The Mini Great Wall Of China
Mini Great Wall Of China Cheung Chau Hong Kong.
The walk along The Mini Great Wall takes you on a circuit which features some great coastal views.
A stop for a meal and a drink.
As we're having a beer a medical emergency unfolds.
Children and newlyweds seem drawn to the spectacle. I've always found helicopters intimidating and this is definitely too close for me.

A patient is airlifted off the island.

Up and out and over the top of us. deafening and impressive.
Queueing for the ferry later that evening leads to a mini riot of sorts.
It's the last boat for the day and everyone wants to get on it.

It's all very amiable and no one is hurt and there are plenty of seats on the ferry.

Arriving back at Hong Kong Island by boat at night is spectacular.

From Hong Kong Island back to Kowloon on the mainland.
There are parks in the heart of the dense urban landscape.
Kowloon Park Hong Kong.

We return to our hotel room to find  .  .  .
Window Cleaners Hong Kong.
I have to persuade a very reluctant Liz to hold the curtain open.
So long for now H.K. Hope to catch up again real soon.
